Some Assembly Required
Warning! Some Assembly Required is extreme knitting! This is not suitable for beginners. Please review the techniques list before purchase. The pattern may be hard, but it will be worth it.
Some Assembly Required is a pattern that will enable you to make an adorable toy that can be taken apart and put together again. The head, torso, and legs are independent pieces, so you could make multiple pieces in different colors and they would be interchangeable.
I’ve included a tutorial on boxes and edges so you can make nice crisp corners. The tutorial isn’t necessary to make the toy, but it may be helpful. I’ve also included 2-5 pictures per page, so you can see what’s happening along with the instructions. This pattern is 17 pages long and full of detail. The pattern is written in a similar style as my other toy pattern, The Deadliest Crab, which you can find in Knitty’s Summer 2009 issue.
There’s an expansion pack available on Ravelry for making an outfit to fit Some Assembly Required.
