Something Blue
by Jen Zeyen
Something old,
something new,
something borrowed,
something blue,
and a silver sixpence in her shoe.
Here is a shawl I knitted up for a bride-to-be to wear on her wedding day. Of course I very much hope that she will wear it on plenty of other days as well.
Its three triangular lace panels. The two front panels are adaptations of Marriage Lines, a traditional Dutch lace motif. The back panel is Holland Lace (aka Dutch Diamonds). Then there is a little lace edging along the bottom followed by a picot bind off.
