I have recently fallen in love with both fingerless gloves and colorwork. I had a skein of deep purple and one of silvery grey that demanded to be knit together, but I couldn’t find a pattern that fit what I had in mind.

I based the design loosely on a set of vintage Japanese woodblock prints that I own, each depicted an arrangement of branches and flowers.

Gauge for this project is more of a guideline, and I have erred on the side of overestimation for the yardage requirements.
