Somewhere Along the Way
“Somewhere along the way, we must learn that there is nothing greater than to do something for others” Martin Luther King
I am inspired by these words of MLK. There are many different opportunites in life for all of us to “do” for others! I designed and knit this simple but elegant scarf for a young women I know who showed amazing courage and strength. She chose to willingly share her very personal story, in the hopes it would help and inspire others to achieve their goals, inspite of great tragedy in their own lives. Such an impressive and compelling act.
ABOUT THE PATTERN….
This is a relaxing, easy to memorize pattern with just enough going on to hold your interest. Sample scarf was knit using (2) skeins of Handpainted Batiste in dream. The scarf is knit flat. One half of your yarn is used for the increase section and the 2nd half is used for the decrease section. Other yarns and weights of yarn will work nicely for this pattern. Weighing your yarn as you go is helpful. You want to have enough to finish off the decrease section!
Pattern Instructions are both written and charted.
Pattern was tested by a few of those very talented, caring and generous knitters I spoke of earlier!
