“Midsummer is one of the most popular celebrations in Sweden - celebrating the solstice brings hope of light and warmth to all after the long, dark winter,” says Kristin Blom. “Celebrations centre around flowers and leaves – we decorate a pole with flowers, we wear garlands in our hair, and we pick seven
different flowers to keep under our pillow so we can dream about our husband/wife to be.”
