Sommarhimlen is Swedish for “summer sky” which is the inspiration for this gradient shawl. As the sun begins to descend, the dusky purples blend perfectly with the bright blue hues after a perfect lazy summer day.

Only one color is used at a time in this easy to knit shawl. The gradient is achieved by using a Dot Dash mosaic pattern that gradually changes from one color of yarn to the next. When changing colors at the end of rows, yarn is carried up right side of work, unless instructed to break in pattern.

Written instructions, chart and schematic are included in pattern.
