Somnambule is a very cozy and oversized sweater, featuring a bubble stitch motif, worked with two different yarns. The body of the bubbles is knitted with Merino Bouclé by La Bien Aimée, to create a soft and dreamy texture while the background of the bubbles and the ribbing details are worked with Corrie Worsted to give structure to the garment. The long and roomy sleeves and the bottom split hem are meant to bring maximum comfort. This sweater is worked from the top down ; the upper back and front are knitted flat, then joined in the round under the armholes. The sleeves and neckline stitches are picked up and worked in the round afterwards. And guess what? The bubble stitch is mostly done in stockinette, and only using one colour at a time! :)

Somnambule est un chandail tout doux avec une coupe ample, présentant un motif de bulles. Il est tricoté avec deux fils à texture et à poids différents. Le centre des bulles est tricoté avec la Merino Bouclé de La Bien Aimée pour créer une texture douce et aérienne alors que le contour des bulles ainsi que les détails de côtes sont tricotés avec la Corrie Worsted afin de donner une belle structure au vêtement. Les manches longues et amples ainsi que la fente au niveau des côtes procurent un confort maximal. C’est un chandail à épaules tombantes qui se tricote du haut vers le bas ; l’empiècement supérieur est tricoté à plat avant de joindre en rond sous les emmanchures. Les mailles des manches et de l’encolure sont ensuite relevées afin de les tricoter en rond. Et devinez quoi? Le point de bulle est principalement tricoté en jersey endroit, et n’utilise qu’un seul fil à la fois! :)
