SONA PULLOVER
……………………………..

Warm air and cold water. Bare legs and woolly jumpers. Your face tingling from the heat and
and your eyes tearing up from the wind. The sound of the ferry horn and the scent of sun-baked
seaweed… The Northern Summer is nearly upon us. And along with it, a special kind of sweater
weather.

An ideal summer jumper for cooler climates, the Sona Pullover features a thermal cabled yoke
developed to be stretchier and less stiff than traditional cable knits, thus facilitating movement
and temperature regulation for active summer pursuits. The spacious neckline can be tucked in
and worn as a crewneck, or expanded for more coverage during blustery ferry crossings.

With a circular yoke inspired by dancing sun-bursts, Sona is a happy, energetic jumper with a
buoyant spirit.

Worked top-down in the round with ‘addictive’ cables at a DK-Aran weight
gauge, it also makes for excellent beach knitting.

Note on Sizing

The proportions of Sizes 1and 2 are intended for children, aged approximately 3-5 years and 6-8 years, respectively. All other sizes are proportioned for adult fit, with Sizes 3 and 4 also suitable for young teens.

Fit Recommendations
For Sizes 1&2, designed to be worn with approximately 10cm/ 4” of positive ease around the chest. For Sizes 3-12, designed to be worn with approximately 15cm/ 6” of positive ease around the chest.

Yarn Recommendations

To maximise cable definition, choose yarn in a solid colour. Variegated yarns, and even marled yarns, will reduce the appearance of the cables. If working with Donegal Tweed, opt for a coloruway where the speckles are low in contrast compared to the main colour.
