Size: one size, can be adjusted using different yarn weight or needle size.
Yarn:
Choose yarn weight according to your foot:
• 3.5oz/100g approx 437-460yds/400–420m for slim ankle (option 1);
• 3.5oz/100g approx 415yds/380m for average ankle (option 2);
• 3.5oz/100g approx 383yds/350m for wide ankle (option 3).
Gauge:
• Yarn option (1) 32 sts х 42 rnds = 4in/10cm in St st using US1 ½ (2.5 mm) needles.
• Yarn option (2) 30 sts х 40 rnds = 4in/10cm in St st using US2 (2.75mm) needles.
• Yarn option (3) 28 sts х 38 rnds = 4in/10cm in St st using US2 ½ (3.00mm) needles.
Take time to check your gauge!
Needles:
You should have different needle sizes to work these socks. Choose main needles according to the required gauge. You can find required needle sizes for yarn option (1) below. For other yarn options choose proper needle sizes accordingly. Start from main needles.
• US 1 (2.25 mm) – set of dpns or circular needle 40in/100cm long for magic loop method (for heels and toes);
• US1 ½ (2.5 mm) – set of dpns or circular needle 40in/100cm long for magic loop method (for the main part) – main needles;
• US2 ½ (3.0mm) – dpns or circular for casting on.
