Sonetto Shawl is slightly asymmetrical in shape and design but very simple to knit.  It is cast on at one wingtip with a few stitches and then simply knit in widening rows until it is large enough or you run out of yarn, whichever comes first.  There are gradual increases along one side, touches of very easy lace and a little soothing stocking stitch.  No short rows, no counting but enough happening to keep you interested.

You will need 100 - 150 grams of fingering weight wool or wool blend for the sizes shown.  

Blocked size of samples shown:

Green Wollmeise shawl - 59 inches wide by 24 inches deep
Purple La Jolla shawl - 46 inches wide by 21 inches deep
