Sonia Chunky Socks were designed for all who wear chunky sleepers or home socks throughout the year.
These socks are comfy and thick, decorated with simple and delicate horseshoe cable pattern on the front.
Length of the socks can be easily adjusted so you can knit ankle or mid-calf socks if desired.

Socks are worked cuff down seamlessly in the round with heel flap and gusset shaping (Dutch heel).

Needles
Circular needle size 3.75 mm (US 5) 80 or 100cm (32 or 40’’) long for magic loop method or set of dpns;
Or needle size needed to obtain gauge.
Notions: cable needle, tapestry needle, stitch markers.

Original yarn
1 ball of of Novita 7 Brothers (75% wool, 25% polyamide; 100g /3.5oz - 200m /218 yds) ;
Optional - hold together with 1 ball BBB Soft Dream (70% mohair, 30% silk; 25g /0.9oz - 225m /246 yds).
Yardage: approx 170-190 m / 185-207 yds - for women foot size US 5-10 (Euro 36-43) UK 3.5-8.5;
Suggested yarn: any worsted/aran weight yarn or fingering weight yarn double-stranded plus a strand of a mohair lace weight yarn (optional).

Gauge
19 sts x 25 rnds = 10cm / 4’’ over Stockinette stitch in the round on 3.75 mm (US 5) needles after blocking.
