Sonja is a slouchy hat knitted in a delicate lace pattern. The lacy stitches are worked in panels of 10 sts, which are then increased to 11 for the fullness of the hat.

The yarn I use here is a cotton/acrylic blend, but any light weight cotton yarn will be fine for this project. The lace pattern is easy to memorize, you will get a hang of it after a few repeats.

The form of the hat is lengthened for a casual and relaxed look. A chic summer hat that you will have so much fun knitting, and get lots of compliments for!
