The SOOMAA Fair Isle scarf and hat patterns come as a PDF with written instructions, charts and photos which you can download immediately after the payment. They print onto A4 or US Letter paper. You will need a program such as Adobe Reader (it is free) to access it (see adobe.com).
There are easy/intermediate level knitting patterns; the following skills are required: Cast on, Knit, Circular Knitting, Color Knitting, Bind off. Both scarf and hat are great designs to practise your Fair Isle knitting. As they are knitted in the round, you knit pattern on the right side only.
All measurements are given in US and metric. Scarf and hat are knitted in one piece. Furthermore full pattern support is available by message or email.

SCARF SIZE: 10” / 25 cm in width and 102” / 260 cm in length

HAT SIZE: Adult — 21”–24” / 54–61 mm circumference.

YARN: Any 8 ply / DK weight yarn. You may also use Sport or Fingering yarn in 2 treads. I used DROPS Sky by DROPS Design.

SCARF:
663 yds / 160 g in primary light sea green colour (#07),
352 yds / 85 g in sea green (#06),
352 yds / 85 g in hazelnut (#11),
352 yds / 85 g in curry (#17).

HAT:
166 yds / 40 g in primary light sea green colour (#07),
33 yds / 8 g in sea green (#06),
33 yds / 8 g in hazelnut (#11),
33 yds / 8 g in curry (#17).

GAUGE: 4” × 4” | 10 cm × 10 cm = 21 sts × 28 rows in stockinette stitch.

NEEDLES: Circular or double pointed needles US 4 | 3.5 mm.
