METHOD
The jacket is worked flat from the top down. The upper back is shaped with short rows, then worked to the underarms and placed on hold. Stitches for the shoulders are picked up along the cast on edge. The right front is worked to the underarm then placed on hold while the left front is worked. Underarm onwards, all the stitches are worked in one piece. The hem is finished with a Welt stitch bind off. When the body is completed, stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armhole opening. The sleeves are shaped with short rows then worked in the round to the cuff. Stitches for the opening edges are picked up and worked in Welt stitch. After finishing the jacket, the pockets are attached onto the front.
