Soph Socks
Inspired by my grandmother, Sophie, these socks are knit toe up in an easy to memorize cable and lace pattern. A short row heel completes these deceptively simple to knit socks. Wear them with hiking boots, heels, and everything in between for a little bit of simple beauty in your every day.
Yardage is an estimate and may vary with personal knitting styles. All sizes listed were knit with one or fewer hanks of yarn but if you find you are having issues getting gauge, you may want to purchase an extra hank if working the largest size. This pattern is designed to be worn with negative ease.
Sizing: The measurements in this pattern represent the finished circumference of the sock. To choose a size, find one that has approximately 1 inch (2.5cm) of negative ease.
My grandmother was an avid believer in supporting others. We are all struggling right now and could use more than a little grace and giving so this pattern is and will remain free. In lieu of a price, I ask anyone who uses this pattern to consider one or more of the organizations below and if possible, make some sort of donation, be that money, time or resource sharing. If you would like to have any organizations added to this list, feel free to drop me a message or email (address is in the pattern pdf) and I will be happy to do so.
