Pattern Notes
This pattern is for delicate openwork rectangular scarf or wrap constructed using the Join As You Go (JAYG) technique.
Skill Level
Intermediate
Uses basic stitches, some experience with JAYG would be useful.
Yarn
A total of 1180 yards of DK yarn. I used:
Rowan Wool Cotton:
1 x Antique (900)
1 x Tender (951)
1 x Bilberry (969)
1 x Frozen (977)
1 x Celedon (979)
Rowan Baby Merino Silk:
2 x Dawn (672)
1 x Opal (673)
1 x Teal (677)
Yarn substitutions:
You’ll need approximately 1000 yards in 8 colours (125 yards per colour) for the main scarf and an extra 180 yards in one colour for the border.

I used 8 balls of Batik/Batik Elements in total:
I used 1 ball of each of the seven different yarn pack colours for the main part of the shawl…
(Iron, Rose, Cherry, Coral, Old Gold, Heather, Graphite)
I then used an extra ball of ‘Iron’ in Batik Elements for the border.
