Sophie’s dress is for all small girls that want to dress up into something cute as well as soft and comfortable to wear:)

Construction and design elements
The dress is knit bottom-up and seamlessly. Lower body and sleeves are worked in the round to underarms, where pieces are joined and continued for upper body. Work is split for the front opening, and the last part of the upper body is worked back and forth.
The A-line dress has lace-patterned hem and cuffs. Sleeves are 7/8 long (but could be worked full length). The neckline is worked in a simple crochet picot in a contrasting color.

Sizes and chest circumferences
3 - 6 months: 45cm/45cm/17.75” 9 months: 51cm/20” 1 year: 57cm/22.5” 18 mo – 2y: 63cm/25”
Make sure to measure the child and/or a favorite garment when choosing size.

Materials
Yarn: I used ”Venla”, a fingering weight yarn from Novita. This yarn is a blend of 75% merino wool, 25% nylon, and is machine washable. It comes in balls of 100gr/3.53oz and 420m/459yards. You will need 1/1/2/2 balls of this specific yarn. You can use any yarn of fingering weight that knits up to gauge. Needles: a long, circular needle 3mm/US2.5 for the lower and upper body, a set of dpns 3mm/US2.5 for the sleeves (you could also use a circular needle for the sleeves, if working the magic loop). A crochet hook 2.5mm. Notions: removable stitch-markers, 2 buttons, contrasting, fingering yarn for the picot edging of the neck.

Gauge
28 sts and 36-38 rows/rounds in stockinette (or in rib-pattern, p3, k5, unstretched) = 10x10cm/4x4”
