Sophie's Felted Sack
by Sophia Hee
Here’s a vibrant, felted sack I’ve created at home one day looking for the perfect bag to hold my kids’ round dinner containers. My inspiration came from this beautiful yarn I purchased from Starbuck Station Wool I found at the Fibershed Symposium in Point Reyes, California. I used her yarn to make a sack and failed making a tray by accident. Still lovely. But ever since my mistake, I’ve been obsessed with making a dinner sack. Second time around, voila! This red and orange sack’s color and shape brings me so much joy. A dream come true!
Yarn: 4 skeins (2 in Red, 2 in Orange) of Noro “Silk Garden Solo” (45% Silk, 45% Mohair, 10% Wool) 50g balls/100meters.
Materials: 1 “J” hook
