The Sorbet Crop Top is simple yet stylish with garter stitch detailing and can be made with two straps or as a halter neck! This top is great for layering or wearing on its own, making a perfect staple for your wardrobe all year round.

The Sorbet Crop Top knits up quickly and is worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom up. The stitches for the back are cast off then the front shaping is worked flat and a three needle bind off is used to attach the straps. Useful links to help with techniques are included.

This pattern is written for 12 sizes ranging from a 69 cm (27 inch) to 159 cm (62.5 inch) chest, and is colour coded throughout for clarity. For more details see the size chart provided. The length is completely adjustable so you can make this as long or cropped as you like - details on how to make adjustments are included in the pattern.

Materials:
5mm circular needles** (or size required to achieve correct tension)
A third needle for three needle bind off
3 stitch markers (it’s helpful to have one that’s a different colour)
0-4 stitch holders or scrap yarn
Tapestry needle
Optional: elastic thread/shirring elastic (for halter neck only)

** For sizes 1-5 a cord length of 60 cm (24”) or longer is recommended. For sizes 6-12 a cord length of 80 cm (32”) or longer is recommended.

Yarn: Aran or worsted weight yarn (I used Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran when designing this top). Any yarn with which you can achieve the correct tension should work. For approximate yardages see the size chart provided.
