SORBETTI (Finnish word for sorbet) sock pattern has been one of my favorite patterns but it has been published only in Finnish language before.
The updated pattern version (May 2022) is available now in English, too…I hope you like it!

Knit in cushy DK yarn they’re a speedy knit, perfect for those moments when you need some extra warmth for your toes…

There’s also a pattern version available for fingering weight yarn, it’s called French Merinque Socks.

Leg length 11cm (4,5”) from cuff to the start of the heel
Leg circumference 20.5cm (8”)
Foot circumference 20.5cm (8”)

DK weight sock yarn
The sample was made using Gjestal Janne (85% Wool, 15% polyamid; 100m/ 50g) in colour 423

Needles:
Double pointed needles 3,5 mm (US4)

Gauge:
22 sts to 10 cm/ 4 inch square measured over stockinette stitch worked in the rnd on 3,5 mm needles

Notions:
tapestry needle, cable needle

SORBETTI- sukkien pinta on kokonaan pienten palmikoiden peitossa. Vuorotellen käännytään oikealle ja vasemmalle, sukista tulee mukavan ryhdikkäät ja ah, niin kauniit!
Samaan ideaan ja mallineuleeseen pohjautuu myös ohuelle langalle englanniksi kirjoittamani ohje French Meringue socks.
