Sorbus’s shawl is inspired by Rowan. Rowan is a deciduous tree. The Latin name is Sorbus aucuparia hence the name Sorbus. The sample is worked with Huldra from Hillesvåg color nr. 8038 and 8006. 100% wool, 100 gr = 425m. You can knit the shawl in thinner yarn to get a smaller shawl or thicker yarn if you like large shawls best. The shawl is knitted from one wing tip, the shawl is shaped by increases and decreases. You get 1 stitch more on every purl row. I have chosen to knit the shawl in two colours, but you can knit the shawl in one color or several colours. You can use yarn with a change of color on the garter parts, but I recommend knitting the lace pattern in a solid color yarn with good stitch definition.

MC: 75 grams/318 metres/349 yards.
CC: 95 grams/404 metres/442 yards.

Gauge swatch (blocked):
34 sts x 42 row = 12cm x 14cm/4.7 x 5.5”.

Tools:
Circular needle 2.5 mm/(US 1.5), 80-100 cm (32-40”).
Stitch markers.
