A simple shawl with eyelet tulips and an edging worked from one end of the shawl to the next. The shawl can technically have as many rows of flowers as you wish. The one in the pattern has six rows. The idea was to have a shawl for my own sister that matches the mother and daughter kerchief, Lepidina.

The pattern includes a garter-tab cast-on, which I have explained in this video. The pattern also uses the method in this video on setting up a triangular shawl knit from the top and down. I have made both videos available for free viewing on Youtube.

The pattern is designed for and has been tested using 4-ply yarn, but there is no reason you couldn’t knit it in a different yarn weight if you want a smaller or larger shawl. Testers completed the pattern between 15-25 hours and deemed it to be an advanced beginners to intermediate pattern.
