El chal SORORIDAD es mi pequeño homenaje a las mujeres de todo el mundo que día a día luchan por hacerse un hueco dentro de una sociedad que todavía hoy, las relega a un segundo puesto.
Se divide en secciones de punto bobo del revés que pretenden simbolizar las contradicciones de la sociedad actual, secciones de calado que evocan las encrucijadas a las que se enfrentan las mujeres por tener que demostrar su valía, tanto a nivel personal como profesional, y un cierre en picot como homenaje a cada una de esas mujeres que apoyan y colaboran con las demás.
Este chal tiene alma y cuerpo de mujer luchadora. Nace como proyecto final del Laboratorio de Chales dirigido por @desmadejada, está tejido con lanas de @felizypunto_justina, inspirado en “Las Sin Sombrero” (mujeres intelectuales y artistas de la generación del 27 a las que no se les dio reconocimiento por el hecho de ser mujer) y diseñado y tejido por mí, @sugarwoolly.

El Chal Soridad es un chal triangular irregular, se empieza por el extremo más puntiagudo y va creciendo de manera distinta a cada lado.
Está disponible en dos medidas y es reversible.
Instrucciones escritas y por gráfico.
Apto para cualquier nivel de tejedora ya que cuenta con videos de ayuda (disponibles a partir del 8 de marzo 2019).

MEDIDAS FINALES
Versión mediana: Aprox. 200 cm de lado a lado y 92 cm en el cierre (después de bloquear).
Versión grande: Aprox. 260 cm de lado a lado y 147 cm en el cierre (después de bloquear).

MATERIALES
Versión grande (mostrado en las fotos): 3 madejas de Feliz y Punto Sock: 100% superwash merino (400m/100g) o aproximadamente 1200m de lana fingering en 3 colores.
Para el sampler usé:1 madeja de FRECKLES (color A), 1 madeja de DEEP BLUE (color B) y 1 madeja de ABYSS (color C).
Versión mediana: 2 madejas de Feliz y Punto Sock: 100% superwash merino (400m/100g) o aproximadamente 800m de lana fingering en 2 colores.
Agujas: 4mm con cable de 80cm para trabajar en plano.

TENSIÓN
21 puntos y 42 vueltas en 10cm en punto bobo, con agujas de 4mm (US6) después de bloquear.

The SORORIDAD (sorority) shawl is my little tribute to women from all over the world who are struggling every day to find a place in a society that still relegates them to a second place.
It is divided into garter stitch sections that symbolize the contradictions of today’s society, lace sections that evoke the crossroads women face because they have to prove themselves, both personally and professionally, and a picot bind off as a tribute to each of those women who support and collaborate with each other.
This shawl has the soul and body of a fighter woman. It was born as a final project of the Laboratorio de Chales directed by @desmadejada, it is knitted with @felizypunto_justina wool, inspired by “Las Sin Sombrero” (intellectual women and artists of the of 27 Spanish generation who were not recognized for the fact of being a woman) and designed and knitted by me, @sugarwoolly.

The SORORIDAD shawl is an irregular triangular shawl, starting at the most pointed end and growing differently on each side.
It is available in two sizes and is reversible.
Written instructions and by graphic.
Suitable for any level of knitter since it has help videos (available from March 8, 2019).

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Medium size: Approx. 78“ (200cm) from side to side and 36” (92cm) at the edge (after blocking).
Large size: Approx. 102“ (260cm) from side to side and 57” (147cm) at the edge (after blocking).

MATERIALS
Large size (shown in photos): 3 skeins of Feliz y Punto sock: 100% superwash merino; 437yds (400m) /100g or you can use approx. 1311yds (1200m) of fingering weight yarn in 3 different colors. For the sample I used 1 skein of FRECKLES (color A), 1 skein of DEEP BLUE(color B) and 1 skein of ABYSS (color C).
Medium size: 2 skeins of Feliz y Punto Sock: 100% superwash merino; 437yds (400m) /100g or you can use approx. 874yds (800m) of fingering weight yarn in 2 different colors.
Needles: US6 (4mm) needles and a 32” (80cm) cable to work flat.

GAUGE
21 st and 42 rows to 4” (10cm) in garter st on US6 (4mm) needles after blocking.
