Introducing SoS Wild West ~ Episode 2! A fun collection of cartoon old west patterns designed to be incorporated into your own themed creations. Designed for Mix & Match with patterns from SoS Wild West ~ Episode 1 (also available in our store)

Whereas Episode 1 was sold as individual patterns (with a discount applied when purchasing all), we found that virtually everybody who purchased went for the bundle, so Episode 2 is only sold as a single SKU.

All patterns within the collection are 36 stitches wide, with 7 taller designs at 31 stitches in height, and 10 narrower designs (which we call “repeaters”) at 15 stitches in height for a total of 17 patterns (12 .PDFs). This allows you to create your own stories when you assemble your creation - for instance, as you can see in our sample blanket, we’ve mixed the Lonestar pattern with the Whole 10 Gallons pattern and created a panoramic mesa scene with 4 different patterns. Throughout, we’ve also created simple breaks in the design with single-crochet bands of color or key patterns between the rows of patterns (see Simple Instructions pdf). In making our blanket, we used a medium gauge yarn and a size H (5mm) hook.

These are overlay mosaic crochet patterns, chart only. They require a basic understanding of mosaic crochet technique. We learned from this video, which should get anyone up and running quickly:

Some notes:

If you’d like to introduce a second color mid-row for something like the moon in our sample, there are very simple tutorials available on YouTube that describe your options.

Also, we added stars in the mesa scenes - these are marked pink in the pattern. This left gaps in the pattern that allowed us to stitch in little stars. If you decide to skip the stars, simply draw an X on the cell above the pink star, follow the pattern and those gaps will not exist.
