This is a pattern for the advanced knitter.
This shawls and stoles collection is designed with traditional Orenburg lace pattern presented in regular way with decreasing. Traditional Orenburg patterns use charts which show yarn overs only.

Pattern instruction options:

Square shawl – 225 sts wide:
1.Chart А_28,
2.Chart А_28_1 (optional length with 28).
Square shawl – 273 sts wide;
1.Chart В_34,
2.Chart В_34_1 (optional length with 34).

Yarn: Lace / fine lace / cobweb yarn at your choice in 1000-1600 m / 1094 - 1750 yds in 100 grams range.

I used for square 1500 m/ 1641 yds of Astro 50: 50% Super kid mohair, 3% Lana merino extrafine, 47% Poliammide for the Chart A28_1.

You may choose similar yardage natural yarns, 1000 m/ 1095 yds in 100gr.

You may choose similar yardage natural yarns as alpaca, merino wool, etc. For more lacy shawls you could find a special yarn – Orenburg handspun yarn, fine mohair, 1000-1500m/100gr. You will get a gossamer web if knit with yarn of 1600m/100gr. The finer the yarn the bigger chart you need to use for knitting. Note: the thicker yarn and larger needles gives the bigger finished shawl sizes. If you want to use thicker yarn or/and larger needle choose the shawl chart for smaller size.
Approximate yarn utilization, for yarn, 1500 m/ 1095 yds in 100g:

1. Chart A28 – about 1500m / 1641 yds.
2. Chart A28_1 – about 1500m / 1641 yds.
3. Chart B_34_1 – about 2200m / 2410 yds, needles size US 0/2 mm.

All yarn utilization calculations are approximate.
You may use more or less yarn depending on your knitting style, gauge, yarn characteristic.

This shawl has 5 pieces: square center (body) and 4 identical borders. Traditionally these shawls are made as one piece, the pattern has grafting photo tutorial.

ПРЯЖА.

Ориентировочный расход пряжи в метрах для пряжи Lineapiu Group Camelot или Astro 50 1500м/100г:

 А_28 – 1500м,
 В_34 – 2150м.

С учетом вашей манеры вязания расход может составить как меньше, так и больше рассчитанного.

Для вязания платка подходит любая тонкая пряжа (шерсть, пух, мохер) указанного метража.
При использовании более тонкой пряжи палантин будет более ажурный и меньше по размеру.
Можно использовать спицы меньшего размера, чтобы получить платок поменьше. Если взять спицы больше, чем рекомендованный размер, то платок получится шире и длиннее.
