Soul is a lovely, soft, beautiful stockinette and lace shawl. A lovely border, knitted with lace panel, and body of shawl, knitted in textured pattern, are worked bottom up, to give it a triangle shape.

CONSTRUCTION
Soul is a triangular shaped shawl with a crescent lace border. The simplicity of the classic stockinette body with just a simple lace stitch, which is shaped by “unusual” short rows, allows the border pattern to take center stage. And the best part is that although the border lace pattern appears complex, it’s easy to work and knits up very quickly.
The border, starting from the center, is worked first. When the border section is completed, it’s time to start to work on “unusual” Short Rows.

YARN AND NEEDLES
Shibui Knits “Silk Cloud” 3 skeins, (25 g = 302 mt/330yds)
3.5 mm (US 4) needle
Several markers

GAUGE
Gauge is not important as long as you like the fabric that you’ve created after blocking your swatch.
I used: 3.5 mm (US 4) needle to get 16 sts x 15 rows = ~ 10 cm/4 inch in stockinette stitch after blocking

252 cm / 99 inch wingspan along top edge and 66 cm / 25 inch width
