This pattern is written for 2 circular needles. It uses the Turkish cast on, a no wrap short row heel and a stretchy bind off, all fully explained. (The stitch pattern is 6 stitches for those who wish to use a different circular method).

Size Circumference
S 7”
M 8”
L 9”
XL 10”

On 100g ball will do a pair of socks in any of the sizes.

This pattern was designed for a friend who wanted to learn toe up socks. She wanted an easy cast-on for the toe and a heel that did not have wraps. As she does not like “fancy bits” on the foot as they “feel funny”, the stitch pattern is only on the leg and just a combination of knit and purl stitches.

I hope you enjoy this as much as she did. Just as a reminder, you should always try on the sock after you have completed the heel to make sure it fits as you wish. Some people prefer socks a little tight and some a bit looser so I can only make a general specification.
