Thank you for your interest in this pattern. Sovereign Rose is a design inspired by the era of England’s War of the Roses, and the King who ultimately ended the decades of bloodshed and brought peace to a nation warring with itself.

This hat is a quick colorwork project for sport weight yarn knit in the round. In lieu of ribbing, a delicate lateral braid frames the face which enables for more ‘canvas’ to showcase the lovely architectural flourishes and rose panels. It requires only two yarns:
112 Yards (Natural)
64 Yards (Red)
