Spaced Oddity
Custom Kits available at Indigodragonfly.ca
This is a truly #sizeinclusive pattern, with:
- clear sizing information, and instructions about how to pick a size
- vertical bust darts are written into the pattern for 3 cup sizes
- instructions for fronts of cardigan include instructions for all 3 cup sizes
- button band designed not to pull across the bust
- sizing and modification support at orders@indigodragonfly.ca and at my Sweater Club virtual stitch night sessions
Disruptive stripes fool the eye. Instead of seeing vertical stripes across a body, making it look wider, Spaced Oddity has the eye playfully jumping around from colour to colour.
Each stripe is made up of two colours. Each colour in a single stripe takes up half the circumference of the sweater, starting and stopping off centre to emphasize the symmetric asymmetry and give it balance. This sweater uses an odd number of skeins, each skein a different colour. This creates a relatively mindless colour sequence.
An odd number of colours, spaced oddly: Spaced Oddity!
Pattern Features:
- top-down circular yoke construction
- simple intarsia
- includes instructions for vertical bust darts in the body of the pattern
- can be worked in one piece, or partially in pieces and seamed (see Sweater Construction in pattern for more information)

Bust Darts: Instructions for working 5 - 10 cm / 2 - 4 inches of bust darts are included in the pattern.
