Spanish Opera Hood
This pattern is one that was found in the October 1863 Peterson’s Magazine. It was based on one worn by Empress Eugenie.
The pattern calls for:
2 ounces of white and 1 ounce of scarlet Andalusian wool
a pair of knitting pins, No. 5
one or two pairs of chenille tassels.
For the feather border you will need:
one ounce of white Andalusian wool
a pair of knitting pins, No. 16
The pins should be measured in the circle of the Bell gauge.
