Sparkle Loofah
This yarn is fabulous for exfoliating while bathing. I initially made a dishcloth for one of my daughters, but she shifted it to use while bathing. Not so good for dishes!! I saw a ‘flower’ video online for this type of shape, but it was in German, and I could not understand it, so I decided that I would design a pattern myself. My design has a handle at the back to make it easy to scrub with the loofah. I was working on developing the pattern while visiting another daughter, and she immediately claimed the one I finished. Then her four-year-old daughter wanted one, so I made a ‘mini’ for her. Directions for the mini are also included. My granddaughter assures me that she LOVES it in the bath.
The loofah starts with a magic loop. There are many videos online that explain how to do it. Stitches required are ch, sl, sc, hdc, and dc. You will need a crochet hook and a darning needle to finish this project.
The large loofah measures 4” in diameter and weighs 31 gr.
The mini loofah measures 1 1/2” in diameter and weighs 11 gr.
Two daughters looked over my pattern and one of them tested the pattern and immediately claimed the loofah for herself! Thank you Jeannie and Teresa!!
