Meet Sparkle the Piggy!

This sweet piggy with his sparkly eyes makes an awesome toy for children because of the funny ball shape. Adults will love him too of course!

My piggy measures about 5 inches, 13 cm (without ears). I used an Aran weigh yarn and a 3.5 mm hook (D hook). However, this pattern will work with any weight yarn and hook. The yarn weight and hook size of your choice will determine the size of your finished project.

Safety eyes: 18 mm in glittery blue or any color of your choice. I ordered mine from Glasseyesonline.com for only $ 0,90 per pair. They ship fast and have excellent service. I will be designing a whole series of animals with these big sparkly eyes. I bought some in purple and gold too.

This is an easy beginners pattern. The stitches used are single crochet and slipstitch.

The pattern is written out in 6 pages, using US terminology. I have also included a separate file with clear progress pictures for your reference, like the ones you see on this page.
