Designed for one of my best furry friends, I introduce SPARKLEDOG SOIREE! A celebration of color, community, and all things furry! :D

This blanket is made in panels, so that at any point you can abandon the project and have one or a few lovely scarves instead of a shameful pile! However, once you get going with these lively colors, you may not be able to stop crocheting until you’re done!

The pattern CAN be worked in one piece as a traditional blanket pattern rather than panels, but you would need to start with your granny square panel and stitch onto that.
Feel free to stitch your panels together in any order you like, or omit a certain design from your blanket and replace it with another! For example, if you dislike granny squares, you could do another checkerboard panel instead.

Additionally, at the end of the pattern, you will find repeat numbers for each panel, so that you may choose to make longer scarves, wider blankets, or other projects with the stitch patterns presented in this pattern.

Using the mosaic crochet technique and having so many color changes means there are a LOT of ends on this project- but don’t worry! We will work a double border to cover them and only have ends from the granny panel and one end from the border to weave in at the end.

This pattern utilizes several advanced crochet techniques such as standing stitches, spike stitches, color changing, and mosaic crochet. BUT! I have confidence that you can complete it with help from the sibling YouTube videos that accompany this pattern. UPDATE 1/29/25: a minor typo in the pdf was changed and thus a new pdf has been uploaded! Please re-download the pattern if you had already purchased it!
