Sparkles the Crocheting Unicorn bag from Knit Picks has been staring at me from across the room saying “Crochet Me!”
So I went for it. I wanted a bulky yarn to make her as large as possible but thought I should start with the traditional cotton used for amigurumi designs. After I got her details right I made her with 2 strands of Mighty Stitch Bulky together…she turned out 15” tall. I love this Unicorn so much! She’s my buddy and yarn protector now and forever!

You will need one skein of each Dishie color. I did sub 2 colors.
Mighty stitch in Pucker is the perfect bright pink, and Brava in Marina (or for cotton I Love This Cotton in Bright Teal) is the perfect green hair color. You can make her in any color and she’ll be lovely.

Depending on how you want to make her crochet hook, you can crochet cord or chain, wire or pipe cleaners. You will need poly fill for stuffing.

She takes a few hours to make and assemble. You will need to know how to sew to attach her pieces.
