Sparkling Christmas Hexagon Cushion
Sparkling Christmas Hexagon
While making extra designs for the Ipsa Blanket this pattern came out and Juliana (my test friend) and me thought this could be a great Christmas design! This design is made of two hexagons to make a cushion in the Tunisian in the Round technique. I’ve added the chart of a full Alphabet so you can add tekst in the border, like Juliana made a Dutch - English Christmas tekst (which I totally love!). The hexagons are blocked and joined with a Tunisian Border, you can find a full tutorial instruction video about that at my youtube channel.
The size of the cushion depends on hooksize and yarn but with the sparkling yarn and a double ended hook size 5mm the cushion will be about 45cm x 45cm. My test friend Juliana used loose cushion filler as there are no prefab cushion inserts for this shape available. The Yarn used for this project is a cream yarn with a purple DK yarn with an extra little paillettes thread (hobbii) in it for a shimmery Christmas vibe. But you can use any yarn you like! Be aware the two colours you choose are contrasting to let the pattern show up nicely.
I can hear the Christmas bells ringing! Have fun making this xx
