Special Edition Plaid Granny Square Blanket Patterns

One of my favourite things to do, is take a favourite pattern of mine and put a chunky spin on it. I love creating these chunky yarn blankets because they’re very quick to work up, simple and stunning! Wool Ease Thick & Quick is my favourite super chunky yarn but you can use any yarn that you prefer! This blanket is an absolute joy to work up. Only 2 round squares that go by so fast. The result is a blanket the whole family can curl up under and I’ve provided 9 additional colour charts to help you find the perfect match!

This pattern is worked up using a granny square.

The pattern uses Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick Super Bulky Yarn (106yds/170g) and a 9.00mm hook.

Pattern includes 9 additional colour charts (all colours are curated by me and put together in schematics so you can get a general sense of how it’ll look): Baby blue, Baby pink, Stormy Grey, Highland Grey, Buffalo Plaid Red, Buffalo Plaid Black, Outlander, Christmas and Halloween.

The final blanket size was: Approximately 50” x 62” inches blocked.
