Speckled Cable Socks
Handpainted speckled yarn can be quite irresistible, but can sometimes be difficult to match to a pattern. Don’t let those beautiful handpainted speckled yarns languish in your knitting basket for years! Try them out with the Speckled Cable Socks pattern. This rather basic ribbed sock with a heel flap and wide toe has small random-appearing cables that you pop in wherever the pops of painted color come up in the yarn, which keeps the knitting interesting, and also helps you to give up a little control with the randomness of the cables. For longer stretches of color, try my Variegated Cable Socks pattern!
