The Speckled Seahorse bobs gently in the ocean waves, holding on to corals and kelp with her long twirly tail - the bobble texture along the spine helps her blend in with her colourful surrounding!
The instructions are written in US crochet terms, with step by step photos detailing how to make the pieces and finish the toy.
The seahorse made in DK weight cotton yarn and 3mm hook will measure 23cm/9in tall. The sample is made in hand dyed cotton DK from The Mermaid’s Purse Yarns in colour way Hippocampus (find out more about the yarn I used here)
Gauge: Working in the round make a ring for 6 stitches increasing by 6 stitches evenly for 4 rounds, 24sts circle is 3.5cm/1.4in diameter
