The yarn suggested is an amazingly soft and beautiful cotton by Tahki yarns. It’s lovely to knit with and gives beautiful texture to the garment in even the most simple stitch patterns. As another option, a handspun or other thick and thin slub yarn could work nicely, just be sure to check your gauge against the pattern notes.
