Were you looking for a pattern to use your fade sets for?
Spector is a faded circular yoke pullover with a beautifully decorated textured pattern. The trellis-like stitches interlock and change as you make progress from the top down.
??
Most of the sweater features a ribbed pattern that uses a PURL stitch as a base. To make things easier I have written the instructions for the body and sleeves to be worked from the WS of the garment (so that most of the sts are KNIT sts instead).
??
This design uses 4 different colors of yarn to achieve a gradient effect. I have called how many skeins you will need to make this design using 4 colors for all the sizes. However, if you wish, you can use 5 or more colors to avoid buying duplicate skeins of some of the colors, depending on your size.

SIZES
XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL).
Shown in size M on a 36” bust. Recommended ease: 1-3” (2.5-7.5 cm) of positive ease.

Upper sleeve circumference: 11½ (12, 13¼, 14, 14½, 15¼, 17, 17½, 18 ½) inches; 28.5 (30, 33, 35, 36.5, 38, 42.5, 44, 46) cm.

MATERIALS
Yarn: 4 (4, 4, 5, 7, 8, 8, 8, 8) skeins of Tosh Merino Light by Madelinetosh (100% superwash merino; 420 y 384 m) in 4 different colorways:
Color 1: 1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins; shown in colorway Horn.
Color 2: 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins; shown in colorway Gracenotes.
Color 3: 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins; shown in colorway Dead Calm.
Color 4: 1 (1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins; shown in colorway Black Sea.
The total required yardage combined of all the colors is approx. 1230 (1350, 1500, 1620, 1780, 1890, 2060, 2200, 2350) yards 1125 (1235, 1370, 1480, 1625, 1730, 1880, 2010, 2150) meters.
Note: The yardage requirement might be different according to the knitters’ tension and also, depending on how you change colors. If you don’t want to have so much left overs (for the bigger sizes), instead of having duplicate skeins of each color you could add more colors to the mix (for example 6 colors instead of 4).
Needles: US 3 (3.25 mm) and US 2 (2.75 mm) circular needles.

GAUGE
23.5 sts and 35 rows 4” 10 cm on US 3 (3.25 mm) needles in Stockinette stitch.
