This hat pattern includes instructions for all 3 sizes… Adult Small, Medium, and Large. Any yarn that is a heavier DK or lighter worsted weight yarn will work. Do a gauge swatch if you’re not sure. Malabrigo Rios would be perfect, Junction Fiber Mills Making Tracks DK is spot on, Or you can try 2 strands of fingering/sport as well.

Richly cabled hat features lots of texture and looks GREAT with solids, tweeds, or every color changing yarn. Fun to make and so appreciated as gifts. The decreases are truly a work of art, and I’m extremely pleased with how they turned out.

This hat is named after one of the owners of the Junction Fiber Mill. During Rhinebeck (New York State Sheep & Wool Festival) 2024 she lost her voice. She wore a crown all weekend that stated such. I told her, as I was buying an armload of her Making Tracks yarn, that I was going to design a hat pattern with her yarn and name it Speechless!
