This washcloth is easily knit with a textured pattern made of knits and purls. It is worked diagonally from one corner creating a border as it is knitted. You can easily knit this cloth any size that you want. The pictured cloth is 9 1/2”.
I named this pattern “Speed Bumps” because, in order to create the bumpy texture, the K1,P1 method used is certainly not the fastest. For the first half of the cloth, each row is progressively longer, taking more and more time to knit. Then, the last half knits up faster and faster as each row is progressively shorter.
