the beauty of this pattern is that it can be made to any size! for a size 18 (UK) I used 600g (roughly) of aran yarn.
I like to add a button and extra rows around the neck but this is the bare-bones pattern for the cardigan shape.

the model is a standard build-a-bear, but this pattern is for any size!
