5 gauges are given so that any machine with 2 beds may be used. The scoodie shown has 14” tails and is 10” from the beginning of the hood to the top of the head. The hood is 8-10” deep from the front of the face to the center back seam. The variation is due to the fact that the half fisherman’s rib fabric of the hood is super flexible and adjusts to fit at the slightest encouragement. Since the entire garment is knitted with both beds working, the yarn should be one that is on the thin side of medium for the machine in use. This is part of a book called “Special Scoodies”.
