speedy drapey lacey
This is a super easy very quick blanket to work up. The basic blanket took me about 9 hours to work giving a blanket of 28ins by 31ins and using just over one cake of yarn. 2 cakes would be ample for a much larger blanket.
The second version of the pattern included in the instructions uses a more detailed border and took slightly longer but is still quite impressive in the results.
It is an open work blanket suitable for a new born baby or if you make it bigger for a full cot size.
This pattern is not a professional pattern, just a nana who loves designing and knocking up something very quickly.
Any yarn can be used, you would need to use a hook size at least one larger than recommended for your yarn for the main body and a larger one again for the initial chain.
