Spelling Bees
This crochet pattern will instruct you to how to make the Spelling Bee game! Spelling bee’s is a learning game that will help little ones learn there ABCs by putting the bee’s in A-Z order. The bee’s have both upper and lower case letters on their wings. Bees can also be made into small words to help with spelling. The pattern includes a cute little behive where the bees can hide when not being played with. THIS IS FOR PATTERN ONLY NOT A FINISHED PRODUCT!!!!
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn in colors: Black, yellow, gold, white, purple & pink.
- Size 3.5mm, 4mm, and size 5mm hook.
- White felt (if you don’t want to crochet wings).
- One button around 7/8”
- Sewing thread
- Poly-fil
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- Stitch marker
- Puff paint or embroider thread depending how you want to do your bee wings.
The skills required to complete this pattern include:
- Basic crochet stitches
- Crocheting in rounds
- Changing colors
- Sewing pieces together
- Embroidery
This pattern is written in English and uses U.S crochet terminology. This pattern is 10 pages long and includes instructions and multiple pictures, and you can always contact me if you have any further questions. The pattern is in PDF form. Pattern has been tested by multiple testers! The finished beehive comes out about 8 inches wide and 7 inches tall when using recommended yarn and hooks.
Pattern does have a button and possibly small parts that could become a possible chocking hazard for younger children. Please make sure all items are secure before giving to young children and put up when not in use. Please don’t use safety eyes or beads for bees eyes because they could become a choking hazard also.
