This is an English digital crochet pattern download. It is a beginner to intermediate mosaic crochet pattern, and includes both written instructions as well a chart patterns. It uses worsted weight yarn for the placemat and a 5mm hook, and does not require any additional materials besides basic crochet supplies. The trivet / mug rug uses sport weight yarn and 3mm hook, but of course can be substituted for different sized finished pieces. It is recommended to use cotton or wool yarn for anything that will hold heat, as unnatural materials will melt. This pattern could be used to make other items than what is included in this pattern. Be creative and have fun with the colors!
