The Australian Sheep and Wool Show is held in Bendigo, Victoria during July of each year. Avid crafters know it by the nickname Spendigo due to the vast amount of shopping that takes place by the thousands of attendees at the 3 day event.

~~~~~~
This is a snug fitting beanie because that is how I prefer to wear them. Try knitting in worsted instead if you prefer a slightly looser fit.
~~~~~~

This relatively simple design is worked in two colours, with (or without) corrugated ribbing and finishing with a pinwheel-style textured crown (or not).

Begin and finish with written instructions, though the main colourwork pattern is fully charted. I have also provided a greyscale chart for you to try your own colours in advance of knitting as well as the chart showing light and dark in reverse.

Yarn
Any DK weight yarn, pure wool being my preferred choice.
The maroon/beige sample shown used yarn produced only a few kilometres from the location of the Sheep & Wool Show.
Colour A (light) appx 45 metres
Colour B (dark) appx 72 metres

Needles
3.5mm and 4.00mm 40cm circulars
4.00mm DPN’s for the crown

Notions
One stitch marker
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Skills required
Corrugated (two colour) ribbing, stranded colourwork, knit from a chart, purl 2 tog, knit 2 tog
