I bounced back and forth whether or not to make the whale (the original was a gift for a baby shower) more cartoony in design or as realistic as I could. After three tries, I finally got what my 11 year old son deemed “adequately realistic.” This sperm whale lovey can be easily made into many different color coordinations to meet any individual desires.

The blanket itself is not only designed to look like ocean waves in both color and stitching, but also comes out wavy in texture. I had a lot of fun designing it and hope you do too when you create one for the next baby in your life!
