• Plymouth Yarn Encore medium (worsted) weight acrylic/wool yarn (3 1/2 oz/200 yds/100g per ball):
6 balls #1202 sand
4 balls #1445 burnished heather
2 balls each #0150 sour apple and #1444 dark brown heather
1 ball #0460 golden glow
• Size J/10/6mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
• Locking stitch markers

GAUGE
Gauge swatch: 17 dc = 6 inches wide
Exact gauge is not important for this project.

PATTERN NOTES
For a shorter Throw (or narrower width with rows laying vertically), end with row 74, then finish with Edging.
To determine if a larger hook is needed for foundation chains, beginning with loosely worked chains, work a gauge swatch of 3 or 4 rows of double crochet, then work row 1 of Edging in opposite side of foundation chains. If fabric puckers, work foundation chains with hook one size larger than size needed for project. A foundation chain that is a bit too loose will be taken up during edging; a too-tight foundation chain will pucker work.
Weave in loose ends as progresses.
When instructed to drop yarn, remove hook and place loop on locking stitch marker until next needed.
Begin and end all spice colors with 7-inch tails.
Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.
Chain-2 at beginning of row counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.
When instructed to work in chain, insert hook under 2 top loops of chain, not in chain space.
Leave markers in place until otherwise instructed.
Chain-1 at beginning of row counts as first single crochet unless otherwise stated.
Chain-4 at beginning of row counts as first triple crochet unless otherwise stated.
